From Mark:

Our Tuesday report actually begins Monday night with a wonderful Fiesta at the Rahme home. This was one of the families that housed John Porter during his stay here in Cordoba. They hosted our entire group, the Moises Torres family, another family from the Belen church, as well as other family members. It was quite a "shindig".

Tuesday morning our work resumed. The group working with the girls worked on various craft projects and rehearsed games to use with the children in the villages this summer. I think the staff enjoyed the games more than the children! In the meanwhile, the construction crew was busy pouring footings for the new bleechers. This is quite a large project, extending the entire length of the basketball court. It's just old-fashioned hard work. Lots of digging, and hauling away rocks, punctuated by episodes of mixing concrete by hand! The paint crew spent the day finishing the sanding and preparation of the ceiling and walls of the Sanchez's home. They just started painting before the end of the day.

Last night we journeyed back across town to the Bethel Presbyterian Church where we attended services. I was invited to preach by my old friend Victorino. When we returned, we were hosted for supper by the Sanchez family (Sammy's folks). As usual, they rolled out the red carpet for us and we had a wonderful time. By the time supper ended, rain was falling hard outside, cooling things down and making for a good night of rest. Outside of a few aches and pains, all are doing well and making good progress with their work.
