Note from Mark (5-29-2001):
Yesterday was our most productive work day. Everyone is pretty well "in the groove" by now and has found their niche. One group is working on building bleechers along the wall of the covered court area. This involves digging footings, building forms, tying steel, and mixing and pouring concrete. Hard work! Another group is working in Ron and Vickie's renovated home. They are sanding the tape and bedding of the sheet rock there, plus scrapping and sanding the walls, preparing them for painting which should begin today (Tues.) Yet another group is working with the girls, preparing them for their work with children in the villages later this summer. Then I've been working putting together a new computer for Dan and getting the synthesizer we carried down talking to Daniel's computer so he can use it in his music work. By the way, Sammy was thrilled with his new guitar we carried in with us!
Last night, one of the families from Bro. Moises' church invited our entire group to their home for a fiesta. It was wonderful! Great food and great fellowship. We were treated like royalty.
We've had a few cuts and scrapes, but no serious injuries and no bad stomach problems so far. Remember us in prayer.
